Watanzania kutozwa Sh20,000 kwa ajili ya kuhuisha vitambulisho vya taifa




Wananchi watalazimika kulipa Sh20,000 kila mmoja wakati wa kuhuisha Vitambulisho vya Taifa, tofauti na siku za nyuma vilipotolewa bila malipo.

Kundi la kwanza la Vitambulisho vya Taifa ambavyo vilitolewa na Mamlaka ya Vitambulisho vya Taifa (NIDA) mwaka 2013 vinatarajiwa kumalizika muda wake kuanzia mwaka ujao (2023)

Hata hivyo mamlaka hiyo imetoa tamko la kuwaondolea wasiwasi ikisema kwa sasa imeharakisha utengenezaji wa vitambulisho.

“Tunaogopa kwa sababu kuna wenzetu hapa mtaani tangu wajiandikishe, huu ni mwaka wa pili hawajapata vitambulisho, walichonacho ni namba tu." Alisema mkazi mmoja wa jijini Dar Es Salaam baada ya mahojiano ya mda mfupi kuhusu tathmini zoezi la vitambulisho vya taifa.

Serikali imewahi kusema mara kadhaa kuwa kuna vitambulisho kadhaa vimetelekezwa katika ofisi za Nida.

"Isitoshe sisi ambao tutataka ku-renew wasipobadilika nadhani tutapata tabu sana muda ukifika tutaendelea kutumia namba badala ya kitambulisho,” aliongeza.

Vitambulisho vya Taifa vilitolewa kwa mara ya kwanza Februari 2013, baada ya Rais wa wakati huo Jakaya Kikwete kuzindua mpango huo, akieleza kuwa ni lazima vitumike kila baada ya miaka 10 kabla ya kuhuishwa.

Wakati wananchi wakieleza kero hiyo, Nida imesema inafahamu kuwa baadhi ya vitambulisho vitaisha na imejipanga kuhakikisha wale wote wanaohitaji kufanyiwa upya wanahudumiwa bila usumbufu.

Akizungumzia suala hilo, Ofisa Habari wa Nida, Geofrey Tjenga alisema, “Wananchi wasiwe na wasiwasi, vitambulisho vitakapoisha utaratibu utakuwa sawa na kwenye vitambulisho au kadi nyingine, kwa mfano leseni ya udereva."

Muda wake ukiisha unaenda kusasisha, ili upate kitambulisho kingine.

“Ukipokea ujumbe mfupi wa simu unaokuambia kuwa kitambulisho kimekwisha, unachotakiwa kufanya ni kwenda katika ofisi yako ya wilaya na kutoa taarifa kuwa kitambulisho hicho kimeisha muda wake, kisha utapewa maelekezo hayo na baada ya hapo utapewa mpya. kitambulisho," aliongeza Tjenga.
